Anabel Moda is a 19 year old actress from Boston, MA, currently residing in NYC. She began her professional acting career on the stage at 12 years old in the musical Carousel. From then on, she has appeared onstage in Billy Elliot (Swing/Tracey Atkinson/Tina Harmer), Mary Poppins (Jane Banks), A Christmas Carol (Belinda Cratchet), The Nutcracker (Clara), and other published plays and musicals, as well as many dance concerts and musical cabarets.

Anabel began her transition to the screen in 2020, starting with independent features and short films. Previous titles include shorts Wish, I Was There and Painted by Alice, as well as being writer and director for Sitting On A Pitch and Quintessence of Character. She has recently starred in feature films, such as the thriller Blood Harvest, and portrayed supporting roles in films like The Funeral.

She believes that telling stories about every day life, with every day people, have the greatest power to inspire audiences. While being a fan of fantastical franchises like Marvel, Harry Potter, and Star Wars, she believes that, despite fictional elements, telling inner truths is what inspires people most. This is reflected in her acting philosophy, which echos the teachings of Uda Hagen, in her realism approach to the craft. In addition to learning from the readings of Hagen, she has also studied from actor Steve Blackwood of Days of Our Lives, as well as stage and voice from actress Leigh Barrett and various coaches at Stagedoor Manor and Wagner College.

While Anabel does enjoy the aforementioned films, other films that have greatly impacted her include Lady Bird, Dead Poets Society, and The Silver Linings Playbook. It is her mission to inspire the same perspective that these films have had throughout her life. Outside of acting, she enjoys kickboxing, skiing, novice archery, reading, hiking, and learning about philosophy and psychology.
