of the proceeds being donated to the Boston charity, Cradles to Crayons, which supplies clothing, shoes, books, and art supplies, among other items, to children in need. She began this fundraiser at age 12, personally recording, singing, and selling door to door and online, raising over $1,000 each year.
She believes that telling stories about every day life, with every day people, have the greatest power to inspire audiences. While being a fan of fantastical franchises like Marvel, Harry Potter, and Star Wars, she believes that, despite fictional elements, telling inner truths is what inspires people most. This is reflected in her acting philosophy, which echos the teachings of Uda Hagen. In addition to learning from the readings of Hagen, she has also studied from actor Steve Blackwood of Days of Our Lives, as well as stage and voice from actress Leigh Barrett and various coaches at Stagedoor Manor and Wagner College. Other films that have greatly impacted her include Lady Bird, Dead Poets Society, and The Silver Linings Playbook. It is her mission to inspire the same perspective that these films have had throughout her life. Outside of acting, she enjoys kickboxing, skiing, novice archery, weightlifting, reading, writing, hiking, and learning about philosophy and psychology. |
